Does it matter whether you are a European company or a Silicon Valley one? Are the chances and opportunities the same?
When we think of European start-ups, only a handful names come to mind, names such as skype and SAP Labs; whereas the US is fraught with renowned start-ups such as Google, you-tube, netflix etc.
What's the reason for this disparity?
Is Europe behind the States in terms of innovation in the web 2.0 arena?
The strategies, bureaucracy, cultures and markets present the stark disparity that exists between the USA and EUROPE.
Although countries like UK, Germany and Holland enjoy favourable infrastructure in place for web start-ups, the rest of Europe certainly lags behind.
